A Tucson native, Erin studied ceramics and photography at the University of Arizona earning a degree in fine arts. Upon completion of her studies she moved to New York City in 2001 and currently resides in the Carroll Gardens section of Brooklyn with her husband and two young sons. In her Dobbs Ferry studio, Erin satisfies her love of sculpture by altering and exaggerating forms while maintaining a simplicity to meet her need for functionality. Each piece is unique in form and texture. By only glazing the rim and interior of her pieces she adds a subtle contrast, but also emphasizes the beauty of the raw matte porcelain on the exterior.
