Refund policy
Due to the unique, small-batch, and handmade nature of our goods, we accept returns only if defective for exchange when possible or store credit. Some items, such as: textiles, accessories, jewelry, books, gift cards, and candles are final sale.
Each sale with the hōm market LLC online is automatically enrolled in the Route program, which provides shipping insurance. If you choose to opt out of this service, we cannot accept any responsibility/liability for damaged pieces you receive and will not be able to exchange or provide store credit.
We thank you deeply for your understanding in this—as a small business that sells handmade and vintage goods, we do not have the scale of large multinational companies. When ordering online, we encourage you to carefully read the descriptions and notice the imperfections of the items that are vintage and handmade. They are sold as is—with each imperfection, a hint to its past or handmade nature.
Only full-priced items are considered for returns, sale items are final sale.
Within the US, most of our items are shipped by UPS and delivered within 15 business days. We offer free shipping on orders $250 or more. Orders under $250 will be calculated depending on weight and size of box needed. Some specialty and/or oversized items may require an additional handling surcharge. For items needing special shipping arrangements in the US, one of our specialists will email you to coordinate.

We will do our best to exchange items when in stock or provide store credit when applicable.
Steps to return an item:
1. Email hello@thehommarket.com as soon as possible with proof of purchase and the order number in the subject line along with photos and your reason for requesting an exchange/return.
2. We will respond to you within 72 hrs to let you know how to proceed.

3. Once you receive an email from the hōm market that says we can process a return, mail your item(s) to: the hōm market, LLC, 14 Spring Street, Hastings on Hudson NY 10706, United States.
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
Items MUST be mailed in original condition and packaging, or comparably-protective packaging.
If you are shipping an item back to the hōm market LLC we encourage you to use a trackable shipping service and purchase shipping insurance. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item(s) and cannot complete a return unless we receive the item(s) in their original condition. Damage to the items in transit, delayed packages and/or lost packages are the responsibility of the customer.
We ask that item(s) be sent back with an official postmark within seven days of approval, and no later than 14 days from your order's delivery. Orders shipped outside of the continental US, including Canada, are final sale.
4. Once we receive the return, it will be inspected to ensure it's in its original condition before a store credit or exchange is issued.
