DESCRIPTION

The Rupture In Abstract Collection by EBW Ceramics is a sculptural series of handcrafted ceramic vessels exploring fracture, form, and organic abstraction. Rich in texture and movement, each piece balances raw expression with refined craftsmanship, highlighting the beauty of the handmade process.

Inspired by natural rupture, erosion, and imperfect geometry, the collection carries a quiet sense of tension and depth, functioning as both sculpture and decorative object. Whether placed on a console, pedestal, shelving, or styled within a collected interior, it brings grounded texture and sculptural presence to a space.

Handcrafted in porcelain, every piece is one-of-a-kind — defined by tonal variation, asymmetry, and subtle imperfections.

A bold, refined collection for intentional, layered interiors.

ABOUT THE MAKER

All pieces are wheel-thrown in porcelain by Erin Banta Wilford, blending sculptural form with functional design. A Tucson native with a BFA in Ceramics and Photography, her work reflects a sensitivity to shape, mood, color, and nature.

While working for years as a master color printer in New York’s fine art photography world, ceramics remained her constant practice and creative anchor. Inspired by her garden and the contrasting legacies of her grandfathers—a farmer and a mortician—her work explores the balance between growth and impermanence.

Each piece is shaped with simplicity and sculptural curiosity. Some forms are exaggerated or softened, but all are designed for everyday use. Whether holding blooms or standing alone, they invite quiet reflection on presence and passing.
