Established in 1993, Bitters Co. is a design and product development company working directly with makers here and abroad. The Carson sisters, Amy and Katie, established their company to bring worlds together through the love of craft, sustaining cultural heritage in a rapidly changing world. Begun as a retail store in Seattle the sisters expanded into the wholesale trade as well in 2000. The original store was located in Seattle from 1993-2013. A second store was opened in La Conner, WA from 2018-2020. Since 2004, they have run their wholesale business and special events out of a 1920's big red barn in western Skagit Valley.
