stay, eat & shop
Paris might be my favorite city ever. I see a future there for myself and love to visit whenever the occasion arises. Here are some of my favorite places I've happened upon while being a 'flâneuse'.
where we stayed
The Hoxton
The Hoxton, Paris is a grand 18th century residence in Paris’ 2nd arrondissement. It's a very cute boutique hotel on a quiet street with nicely sized rooms that don't break the bank. The hotel restaurant comes alive at night but thanks to the sound machine we traveled with, we were not disturbed by any noise.
Tip: Book a taxi with the hotel a day in advance for airport runs, especially if you have an earlier flight.
where we'd stay next
L'Hôtel Particulier Montmartre
Located in a hidden enclave of Montmartre, the beautiful hilltop arrondissement is the cutest hotel ever. The cocktails are incredible and the menu is traditional Parisian cuisine set in a cozy dining room. I would love to book a room here next time I go to Paris, I love the area and this hotel so much.
Tip: You can only book the dining room or outdoor garden for dinner two weeks in advance so mark your calendar. It is also more expensive than the Hoxton.
where we ate
Every meal is a treasure in Paris. Here are some of the places we enjoyed on this visit.
comice
With only 13 tables and one seating per night, it's like being invited to be the best dinner party at someone's loving home. Led by a husband (chef) and wife (front of house sommelier) team, the food and wine pairing was one of the most memorable meals we have had in a long time. Truly incredible.
Tip: They stay closed on Saturday and Sunday to spend time with their young daughter.
sur mer
Beautifully prepared seafood in a cozy and tiny Parisian restaurant where the menu changes daily.
Tip: Make sure to make reservations in advance and they have tiny outdoor tables you can reserve in the warmer months.
le servan
Incredibly delicious French bistro with a touch of Asian flair. Run by two sisters, the menu is unique and lovely.
Tip: Great for lunch or dinner and you definitely need reservations in advance. They are closed on Sundays.
where we shopped
L' Atelier 55
This is my ultimate favorite shop in Paris. Amazing finds, unique art, and timeless classics.
L’Atelier 55 has galleries in Megève, Saint-Tropez, and Paris. They specialize in French and Italian designer furniture and objects from the 1950s-1980s.
Tip: They ship worldwide!
