These incredibly resourceful pieces are machine washable and the larger sizes can be used for so much more than just rugs—use them as bathroom sink runners, beach and picnic blankets, layering on beds, or a heavy throw on furniture—just to name a few.
Due to the authenticity of the raw materials and the individuality of the hand-loomed process, each rug varies in pattern, color tones, texture and design—making each one truly unique with unrepeatable character.
100% recycled fabrics. Exact material contents vary.
Handmade in Paraguay.
These rugs have traveled a long way to get here. To remove wrinkles and creases that may be present from their journey, we recommend giving them a quick wash, so they lay nice and flat as they settle in.
Machine wash separately on a gentle cycle with cold water and mild soap. Lay flat or hang to reshape and dry.
The work of Under The Bough is not only to preserve this history of tradition, but to build upon it by enriching and expanding the design and craft through a more deliberate approach. All of our products are handcrafted in small batches. To work this way takes time—it is intentional. There is a vitality and authenticity in things handmade because they are a reflection of an honest moment, of the intimacy that occurs between the maker and material. It is also a reflection of place and the culture of traditions passed down.
